При переключении передачи «вниз» происходит обратное действие: обороты двигателя повышаются. Поэтому здесь нужно сначала сбавить скорость (путем торможения), а затем уж переключаться, чтобы не превысить допустимые обороты.
Предположим, что вы едете на четвертой передаче, скорость около 160 км/ч, обороты двигателя приближаются к максимальным — допустим, 6500. Вы хотите включить пятую передачу, но нечаянно включили третью. В результате обороты двигателя превысят максимально допустимые и вы «попадете» на капремонт двигателя. Теперь вы понимаете, почему АКПП считают более безопасной? Она не позволит переключиться не так, как следует. Зимой количество аварий увеличивается в геометрической прогрессии. Почему? Все объясняется достаточно просто: нехватка опыта и элементарная жадность. Наиболее опасно начало зимы (имеется в виду не декабрь, а начало похолодания — это может быть и в январе, и в ноябре). Кто-то не успел сменить резину, кто-то не понял, что уже нужно ездить осторожнее. Вот пример: снега еще нет, но ночью уже отрицательная температура. На асфальте образовалась тонкая корка льда.
