В опасной ситуации многие водители стараются первым делом быстрее затормозить. Это вполне естественная и понятная реакция. Педаль тормоза останавливает автомобиль. Чтобы не въехать в препятствие, нужно побыстрее остановиться, а для этого следует хорошенько вдавить педаль тормоза в пол. Да и в Правилах записано, что в опасной ситуации авто нужно остановить. Нас так учили. Все понятно и логично.
Но ведь остановить авто можно по-разному. Можно даже «естественным путем», то есть въехав в препятствие. Если вы «втопчите» педаль тормоза в пол, то, скорее всего, остановите автомобиль именно таким способом. Ведь экстренное торможение вызывает блокирование колес. В результате — неуправляемое движение машины в направлении наименьшего сопротивления. Чаще всего это направление есть движение по касательной к выбранной траектории. Если вы хоть раз тормозили «юзом», то знаете, что машина при этом вообще не слушается руля, даже на сухом асфальте, не говоря уже о мокром или гололедице.
Существует две техники контраварийного торможения — прерывистого и ступенчатого торможения. Обе позволяют избежать блокирования колес, следовательно, в опасной ситуации автомобиль будет слушаться руля. Начнем с техники прерывистого торможения.
